Learning how to navigate the platform, writing posts, and adding content.

As I go through this website journey, I'm trying to learn the tools in my chosen platform. I'm learning as much as I can because I want to make sure that everything works as I intend and envision.

Edit: March 31, 2024
I encountered some challenges in my planned management of the website.

The first major challenge is organizing content. This is a blog, yes, and posts are expected to be in chronological order. I don't have a super grand plan, but I do want things to get organized. Since the website will contain both personal and professional content, I want to make sure that everything can be segregated. For blogs, I want to implement a year-month-date scheme, but doing so in the platform is not as easy as I imagined. It did have some learning curve and I have to make sure that I keep track of everything in order to organize everything. This challenge will be more difficult as I put more content in the website.

The second major challenge I encountered is content management, particularly images. I found that I can upload images to my website, but there's no way to retract/delete these files upon upload. The platform does not have a built-in file management, so basically everything I upload is on the Internet. The platform also does not automatically delete unused images. So basically, until they implement a file management facility, these images are immortalized. I'm hoping that a facility will be available soon.

The third not-so-major challenge is the learning curve I have to endure in learning some basic HTML and CSS. But good thing that the platform helps in making sure that minimal coding skills are required. So for now, I can manage and operate this website without re-learning the technical skills I already forgot and I can focus on making content.

For now I started with "standards" to make sure that I do the same things across the website. Content may be slow, but it's always going to be a work in progress. I'm happy that I'm able to have a creative outlet.

Oh, and I'm thinking if I should restart my Youtube channel and make it more closer to actual life rather than cinematic. I'm still thinking about it, though.
